The Diets prepared by Chef K9’s Doggy Bistro and Bakery are based on FACTUAL research by the National Research Council (NRC) and their published Nutrient Requirements for Dogs. Our diets have been formulated by actual professionals, specializing in the breed specific nutrient requirements of various breeds of dog. Information such as breed work-ups, breed origin, places of origin, native crop supplies, and native protein sources to countries of origin are used to prepare the ideal formulations for each dog.
Chef K9’s Doggy Bistro & Bakery is licensed and regulated by the State Department of Agriculture. We maintain a Master’s Feed Permit and License and abide by all rules, testing, analysis, and regulations set forth by the Department of Agriculture.
Chef K9’s Doggy Bistro & Bakery also maintains all necessary state and city permits.
Our staff and chefs are all very well educated in the proper food handling and safety procedures necessary to prepare foods safely. Many of our chefs have also passed required tests set forth by the Serve-Safe & Sanitation Program. Several of our chefs have graduated from well respected and accredited culinary schools/institutes, while also having spent countless years in professional fine dining restaurants honing their crafts. We regularly consult with our Nutritionists, Veterinarians, and Food Suppliers.
All ingredients purchased for use in our diets are 100% Human grade. We purchase from the same companies who supply many of our nation’s top fine dining restaurants. We pride ourselves on using the very best ingredients, with the very best staff to prepare our diets and treats.
We maintain a facility/storefront in the USA. We do not import ingredients from over-seas to simply save a buck. The only ingredients we import are our New Zealand & Australian Legs of Lamb. All produce, provisions, and meats are inspected and approved by the USDA.
